Yesterday Colby asked me what day Valentines was. I just brushed it off and had myself a little giggle. When I realized he wasn't laughing, I knew we had a problem.
"February 14th. Every Year. This year it's a Tuesday. Don't forget."
Then that scenario played out in my head, the one where one of my biggest fear comes to life and I spend a whole 365 days crying and being mad and I try weekly to try and make up for someone else's 'bad with dates' excuse.
This particular scenario is also one of my top five biggest fears.
My spouse forgetting my birthday. Stupid. I know. Especially since I remind him alllll the time. On July 4th, I'm sure to let him know that he was six months, to the day, to prepare.
It'll never happen, I'm sure of it. Can you imagine though? Yikes.
I'm told that once you get older, birthdays seem to be less important. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a lot older before that happens to me. Like 87.
Speaking of Valentines, I found the SWEETEST thing on Pinterest. Fourteen days of Valentines. I can't wait to start and to surprise Colb with something different every day.
Unless he forgets my Birthday, then he can kiss the other ten days gooooodbye.
I am doing the 14 days of Valentines for Matthew too! Only his is themed, going along with the big bang theory.
