Gratitude.

I don't think I've mentioned lately how grateful I am for my in-laws and for the family that I have married into. I've found a good friend in my Mother-in-law and I know that whenever I show up, unannounced or not, she'll drop everything. We've spent a lot of time lately talking about trials and the plan of salvation and the plan the Lord has set out for us.
  Sometimes I think we let the ways of the world get a hold of us and we forget how important the little things are. Often times I think we get busy and we forget that our Heavenly Father is there for us and that he needs to hear from us. It's a good feeling to strengthen the bond with our Father in Heaven and then when we find ourselves in a bind, it's not uncomfortable for us to go to him.
 
I'm constantly amazed at the love my Heavenly Father has for me and for the ways that he reminds me that it's there. I've married into an incredible family who is always there for me and treats me as their own. I love being a Carter!
