I had every intention to run yesterday. (I had a running partner, a time, and a location all planned) After work the rain came and kept coming and our plans started crumbling. At lunch time I found myself trying to justify eating a greasy hamburger from wendy's with a side of fries and a coke. I was going to run later any way! I opted for Little Ceasars Crazy Bread instead. Which, ps, isn't any healthier. I don't think ... I savored every bite hoping it was going to be completely worth it.
I arrived home and immediately found the couch and made myself comfortable. Then it happened, I felt lazy and sort of gross.
So, I threw on my running clothes and shoes and hit the treadmill for what I told myself would only be a 3 miler. My new ipod accompanied me and about 3.4 miles in, I realized I had only loaded 3 songs on it. Whoops. Luckily I enjoyed those 3 songs because we weren't stopping.
At 7.6 miles, the treadmill turned off. I was running at what I call my 'all day' pace, (a pace that is slow enough that I could run all day) so I needed something to stop me or I could have gone forever. I thought about those breadsticks my whole run and occasionally I'd get a pizza sauce flavored burp (tmi?) that would push me even harder. I give thanks to that major carb (over) loaded lunch. I've never ran like that.
Later in the evening, I applied 2 drops of wintergreen (doTerra) oil to my knees and ankles and hit the hay. I woke up this morning without a single sore muscle in my body.
Thank you crazy bread and Wintergreen oil for making my life dang near perfect.
I love oils. I have had my Young Living oils for a few years! One of my favorite things! And btw, when I misread the title and that it said "car loaded and oily"...and about half way into the reading, I though, "what does this have to do with a car?" so I read the title again....my bad.
