*Chores ....

I know I know ... A blog post! I'm just as excited as you are, I promise.
Lots of stuff going on. Ok not really but I'll give you what I've got.
Married life is AmAziNg! I love coming home to our house, having our pictures on the wall, eating dinner at our table, watching movies on our tv, doing our laundry, our dishes, never having a curfew. I can't get over how exciting it is to be able to fall asleep next to Colb and wake up the next morning with him still there. It's incredibly convenient to not have to wake him up and ask for a ride home. HA HA! I don't miss the drive in the middle of the night from Colb's parents house to my Mom's. Three blocks or not, it was too long and although it will never be forgotton, we will never miss it.
We're both working like crazy and trying to keep up with each two schedules but compared to a cute couple with one in the Master's program and one in Pharmacy school ... we're definitely on the cake walk. I am so grateful for all the time I get to spend with Colby. Sometimes I feel like I haven't seen him for days when really it's only been about a day but none the less, I try really hard to take in and appreciate the time we do get together because with school coming up and a new job, I'm not sure how long that will last.
I came home the other night after a really long day and Colby had cleaned the entire house and done all the laundry. I was beyond grateful but I went to bed feeling guilty. That was not Mr Carter's intention nor would he have let me feel like that had I expressed this gut wrenching stomach ache. I woke up the next morning glad that I had a clean house but still a little guilty. I did the only thing that I could think of that could even things out. I made a chore list. This is something I was so excited about. Colby ... Not so much. I told him I had done so and he wasn't happy. I continued to remind him that he didn't know what was on the chore list so he shouldn't complain just yet. His response
   "Ya Huh .. CHORES!"
I'll give it to him, he was right. Chores Chores Chores.
I don't think it took long before he was ok with this so called 'Chore List'

  1. You are so cute! You seriously make me laugh :-) Isn't it funny how many chores there seems to be when you get married?! I think your chart is adorable... Trace would NEVER go for that though Ha ha
